I have long adored the rich green glaze of this exquisite pottery, made in the small village of Tamegroute in the Draa Valley of Southern Morocco at the edge of the Sahara. The pottery takes its name from the village, and is made completely by hand using clay from nearby riverbeds. The same few families have been crafting Tamegroute pottery for centuries. The glazes, shapes and textures of each bowl and plate are stunning in their subtle variety. I love the way these vessels look when filled with pomegranates or lemons on the center of a table. While food safe for whole fruits, vegetables and other dry food, these bowls are not water tight. We recommend using them for decorative purposes. Not dishwasher safe.
Each vessel is unique and there are slight variations from the product photograph due to the handmade nature of the pieces.
Each bowl measures between 11"-12” in diameter x 3” in height
